My research focus is to reduce fuel/power consumption, improve traffic condition and to reduce of driver fatigue by using platoons of autonomous vehicles. Traditionally, platoon maneuvers are accomplished either by centralized or deliberate decentralized methods. My technique is to use a novel biologically inspired decentralized method called the Emergent Decentralized system and have implemented ADEPT – Adaptive Decentralized Emergent PlaTooning system that performs platoon maneuvers dynamically. I have demonstrated that emergent systems are versatile and can also be used in the design of coordinated traffic control algorithms. I plan to graduate by the end of summer 2023.

Currently, I am a Principal Engineer at Marvell Technologies working on Compute Express Link (CXL), the next generation memory technologies for data centers. This technology will be used in building composable system or Software Define Systems. I have 20+ years of industry experience and have worked in various fortune 500 companies like Sun Microsystems, Juniper, Cisco and Rockwell Automation, with varied full stack experience starting form hypervisors and device drivers to cloud providers. My fortes are leadership, broad domain knowledge, being a great team player and my attitude and aptitude to learn new technologies and excelling at them. I have a M.S in Computer Science from Arizona State University and B.E in Computer Science from Mysore University, India. I’m married to Anitha and blessed with two sons, Chinmay and Achintya.
